ILDIKÓ NAGY

The Boattle - a boat made out of bottles - was made for the Illumination Trail in Moseley Park and Pool in 2021. ILdiko worked together with Martin McNally on this piece. The body of the boattle was made out of re-cycled plastic bottles and the sail was made out of re-cycled plastic carrier bags. The floating artwork was just one of many collaborative light creations on this rare pandemic social event.

Then since 2023 THE BOATTLE started to make appearences - floating on the lake - at the Mostly Jazz Funk & Soul Festivals. ILdi reinforced the metal frame structure of the previous 'boattle' and created a new sail out of additional grocery bags for it with the logo of the festival.
