TILE CROSS SCULPTURE
On the 3rd November ILdiko & friends erected her latest roundabout willow sculpture in Tile Cross, Birmingham, UK. She was intensively working on this piece since August, but the whole planning started at the beginning of the year 2024. The local community commissioned ILdiko to create a public sculpture on the Bell lane roundabout. They have been trying to grow a tree there for a long time, but somehow no tree managed to survive. ILdi's initial idea behind the design came from the 'chin mudra' 👌, which is also a common way of expressing fine/ok as a global gesture. Hopefully this sculpture will create a positive ambience in Tile Cross area.
From the idea to the tangible finished piece, Ildiko executed this piece all on her own, including design, steel fabrication & willow work.
